Facilities

Welcome to the Barus Building, located at 340 Brook Street in the historic East Side of Providence, RI. The building was constructed in 1900, and is now home to the Brown Theoretical Physics Center. The first floor features a common area and meeting space, additional work spaces, and post-doc offices. The second floor includes faculty offices, and a conference room.

The home of the Department of Physics at Brown University is Barus & Holley, located at 184 Hope Street. It was built in the 1960s, and is a shared space with the School of Engineering. Offices of many BTPC faculty members are located in Barus & Holley.
